CPN Unified Socialist officially decides to join government



KATHMANDU: The CPN Unified Socialist has made an official decision to join the government.

A meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) of the party on Friday decided to join the government.

However, the party is yet to finalize ministers. “The party decided to finalize ministers only after distribution of portfolio of ministries among ruling parties,” said a leader of the party.

He added that the number of ministries to be assigned to the Unified Socialist was agreed upon and now finalizing portfolio remained.

It is learnt that leaders of the ruling coalition parties made a gentleman’s agreement to give 6 ministries to the Unified Socialists.
