NASO, Amity University sign agreement for research in astronomy



KATHMANDU: Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) has signed an agreement with Amity University in Dubai for exchanging research and knowledge in astronomy.

After the agreement, the Society has imparted training to the Bachelor’s level students of space science of the campuses under the University.

At a program organized on the completion of the 14th anniversary, Society Chair Suresh Bhattarai said that an environment has been fostered to exchange human resources working in this sector by making agreement with the University two years ago.

The Society, however, said that Nepal has not got opportunity to conduct research and exchange knowledge with the University due to coronavirus pandemic.

On the occasion, Shartraj Nandarajan Ansari Shyamala, teaching space science at the University, Dubai, said that the collaboration between the two organizations has benefitted both the institutions through collaboration in astronomy and space science subjects.
