Deuba govt won’t get excuse for erring as Oli govt: Gagan Thapa

Says previous govt reached Balkot from Baluwatar for its misdeeds

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Gagan Thapa has listed the ‘misdeeds’ of KP Oli government and warned the incumbent government that it will have no excuse for the continuation of the misdeeds.

Taking part on Tuesday’s session of the House of Representatives today, he said that a new chapter has started with the vote of confidence for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

“Contempt the parliament, reprimand the court, mockery of the laws and regulations, confined former government from Baluwatar to residential balcony at Balkot,” lawmaker Thapa said indicating former PM Oli, adding, “Roaring like a lion outside, then government surrendered to alien forces secretly, the new government is not allowed to commit any such crime.”

He lambasted Oli-government for its arbitrary rule and urged the incumbent government to regard rule of law, role of parliament high.

Thapa remarked that the government, the lawmakers and the parliament have new expectations from people and should strive more sincerely to meet those expectations.
