Govt preparing to remove chiefs of three provinces

KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to relieve governors of three provinces of their posts.

Sources have said that the government is relieving Rajesh Jha of Pradesh 2, Sita Kumari Poudel of Gandaki Pradesh and Dharmananda Yadav of Lumbini Pradesh of their posts.

A cabinet meeting to be held at 3 pm will take a decision to this effect, according to a highly-placed source.

The source, however, did not divulge who will be appointed to their places after relieving them from their posts.  Jha, Poudel and Yadav had been appointed during the Oli government.
