KATHMANDU: The administration is preparing to extend the ongoing prohibitory order with some systematic easing of restrictions in the Kathmandu Valley.

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli said that they are preparing to extend the prohibitory order as there is still a risk of coronavirus spread in the Valley.

“We will decide on the extension of the prohibitory order after analyzing the statistics of the COVID-19 at 4 pm on Sunday,” Parajuli told Khabarhub.

The prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley is coming to an end on Monday at midnight.

Public transport, schools, monasteries, party palaces, among others are still prohibited to provide their services.

Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur, Prem Prasad Bhattarai, said, “The restriction will be extended but it will be slightly relaxed and systematic.”

Shops selling gold, silver, utensils, electrical goods, and household items are allowed to operate on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Likewise, automobile and spare parts shops are also opening on these days.
