KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has submitted a report on the recently-held National Assembly (NA) election to President Bidya Devi Bhandari Thursday, the Office of the President said.

Dr. Khimlal Devkota had come out the winner by beating CPN-UML candidate Ram Bahadur Thapa in the National Assembly by-election (Bagmati Province) held on May 20.

The NA seat from Bagmati Province fell vacant after Thapa was expelled by Maoist Center as he defected to the UML.
