RAW chief Samant Goel gets one-year extension



NEW DELHI: Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief Samant Kumar Goel and Intelligence Bureau head Arvind Kumar have been given a one-year extension in their services, India’s Economic Times has reported.

A 1984-batch IPS officer from Punjab cadre, Goel would now continue to be the Secretary of RAW for a period one year beyond the presence tenure which ends on June 30, it said.

Likewise, Kumar, an IPS officer of Assam and Meghalaya cadre, will also continue to head the Intelligence Bureau for another one year after June 30, according to the report.
