Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 6,951 with 106 new fatalities



KATHMANDU: As many as 106 COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 6,951 as of Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 6,939 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 6,731 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 208 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,738 persons in Kathmandu, 364 in Lalitpur, and 265 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 2,367 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 7,226 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
