PM Cup Semis: APF sets 204-run target for Police



KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) has set a mammoth 204-run target for Nepal Police Club in the first semi-final match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, APF notched up 203 runs losing nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

APF’s Shakar Rana top-scored with 44 runs including four fours off 96 balls. Similarly, Bhuvan Karki made 32 runs including one four and two sixes off 56 balls while Sundeep Jora contributed 34 runs off 43 balls.

Held at TU International Cricket Ground, APF had lost its first wicket in 13 runs, second wicket in 26 runs, third wicket in 41 runs and fourth in 42 runs.

In reply, Police’s Aarif Sheikh grabbed highest three wickets while Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendrea Singh Airee took two wickets each of  APF.
