PM Cup Semi-finals: APF vs Nepal Police Club today



KATHMANDU: Semi-final matches under the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament organized by Cricket Association of Nepal are beginning from today (Wednesday).

Two departmental teams – Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Police Club – are locking horns in the first seminal match at TU International Cricket Ground. The match will start at 9 am.

APF is the group ‘A’ winner while Police is the first runner-up of group ‘B’.

APF had defeated Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) to become the group ‘A’ winner. Earlier, it had defeated Karnali Pradesh, Pradesh 1 and Gandaki Pradesh.  It has notched up eight points by winning all four matches.

Similarly, Police had suffered a first defeat at the hands of Bagmati in the first group stage match.  It, however, secured a berth in the semi-finals by defeating Pradesh 2.

Earlier, Police had defeated Sudurpaschim, Lumbini and notched up six points from three wins out of four matches.
