666 more added to coronavirus tally in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 666 people in Nepal in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 9,771 people underwent PCR tests at various laboratories across the country, and 569 tested positive. Similarly, out of 2,249 antigen tests carried out of late 97 tested positive.

According to the Ministry record, there are 10,296 active cases of coronavirus as of Tuesday.

Eleven more coronavirus infected people died in the last 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll to 11,372 till date.

In the same period, 622 coronavirus infected people were discharged after recovery.

The recovery rate is 97.3 percent, the ministry said.
