Talk of province government change baseless: CM Bhatta

DOTI: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim province government Trilochan Bhatta has said the talk of a change of the government leadership is baseless.

Talking to RSS, Chief Minister Bhatta said it was not time to change the government leadership at present. “The topic of change of the provincial government or its leadership has not been raised (at any forum and level in the party).

The rumor of government change is not true,” he said.

He shared that the provincial government was focused more on prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic as the number of infected persons has increased in the districts of the province including Kailali of late.

“Those without work are spreading rumors of change of government,” he said refuting the talk of government change in the province and called upon one and all to not go after such rumors but to work for the development of the province along with checking the spread of coronavirus infection.

On a different note, he said it would not be a new thing even if the provincial government is reshuffled in the context of the country’s changed political power equation.

Chief Minister Bhatta, who is from the CPN (Maoist Centre) party, said although the federal government having nearly two-thirds support fell due to its own causes, the Sudurpaschim province government was still for keeping intact the alliance with the CPN (UML) and it will not break under any circumstances.

He also claimed that the provincial government has carried out works at par with any other province government.

CM Bhatta said the provincial government has achieved two times growth in the indicators pertaining to physical and social development, among other sectors.

CM Bhatta said the provincial government has become successful in blacktopping all roads connecting the local levels in every district in three years.
