Three of the four UML Karnali Province Assembly (PA) members who had crossed floor to give a vote of confidence to Maoist Center’s Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi have faced suspension.

The CPN-UML Parliamentary Party (PP) suspended Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Amar Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Nanda Singh Budha and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Kurmaraj Shahi, said a statement issued by Karnali PA Secretariat Friday.

According to the statement, the CPN-UML PP suspended them from the Karnali PA for one month for not complying with the decision of the Karnali UML PP.

Earlier, SC had reinstated the three ministers along with Prakash Jwala.

The UML has been obstructing the budget discussions at Karnali PA for more than 11 days, stating the three UML ministers in the government have not resigned to abide by the party instruction..
