NC leaders’ swab collected for coronavirus test

CWC meeting to be decided after COVID-19 report



KATHMANDU: The swabs of Nepali Congress (NC) office bearers and central committee members is being collected for coronavirus test today.

According to NC’s central office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, the swabs of the central committee members, office bearers, the secretariat staffs and the security personals guarding the office and the leaders will be collected at the party headquarters at Sanepa from 12 pm to 3 pm today.

Poudel informed that more than 200 swabs will be collected today.

NC is preparing to convene a meeting of the Central Working Committee after receiving the coronavirus report.

The CWC meeting is likely to be held either on Tuesday or Thursday.

Earlier on Sunday, the office bearers’ meeting held at the party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s Budhaniikantha based residence had decided to hold a meeting of the Central Committee only after testing the leaders’ swabs against coronavirus.
