72 succumb to coronavirus in last three days



KATHMANDU: As many as 72 people have succumbed to coronavirus in the last three days, the Ministry of Health and Population has said.

A total of 16 persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, and 14 others died on Saturday, the Ministry said. Likewise, five people died on Friday.

With this, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in the country has reached 3,164.

According to the Ministry, the daily mortality rate in the country has reached 1.05 percent.

Meanwhile, more than 500 people have been infected in nine districts, including Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Morang, Dang, Kaski, Rupandehi, Banke and Parsa.
