UML PP meet picks Suman Pyakurel as NA PP leader

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Suman Pyakurel has been picked as the party’s parliamentary party (PP) leader for National Assembly (NA).

The CPN-UML PP meeting held in Baluwatar Friday has chosen Pyakurel as the UML leader for the Upper House.

Earlier, Dina Nath Sharma was the NA PP leader when the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) had unified as the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

After the Supreme Court’s March 7 decision annulled the NCP (NCP), reviving UML and Maoist Center, Sharma stayed in the Maoist Center and the UML was in need of a new leader at the NA.

Pyakurel is the UML Central Committee member and NA member.
