CM Rai reforms cabinet, inducts Angbuhang as Minister for Economic Affairs



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Pradesh 1 Sherdhan Rai has reformed cabinet of the provincial government.

According to the new reformation, Tanka Angbuhang who recently defected to CPN-UML from CPN (Maoist Center) has been appointed as the Minister for Economic Affairs while Ushakala Rai has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development.

Similarly, Ambir Babu Gurung and Ram Rana have been entrusted with the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Agriculture, respectively.

Kala Ghale has become Minister of State for Agriculture while Raj Kumar Ojha has been appointed as the Minister of State for Forest.

The newly appointed ministers are scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy at 1 pm today, informed Minister Rai.

Earlier, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda and Madhav Nepal group had proposed Bhim Acharya as the CM of Province 1, filing a no-confidence again CM Rai.

Rai has garnered a majority following the Supreme Court’s verdict that restored erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) scrapping their unification as Nepal Communist Party.
