Rural municipality closes services for six days as COVID-19 cases spike

KASKI: Machhapuchchhre rural municipality has shut down administrative services for six days after coronavirus infection cases spiked in the rural municipality for six days.

A meeting of the rural municipality held on Thursday decided to halt all the administrative services starting today until March 31.

According to Karna Bahadur Gurung, the chairman of the rural municipality, the decision has been taken after COVID-19 cases spiked at Lahachowk in ward no 4.

At first cooperatives’ three members who returned home from an official visit tested positive and 13 others were found to have infected with the virus through contact tracing on March 24.
