DDA bans on sale and distribution of eight drugs



KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Administration (DDA) has banned the sale and distribution of eight drugs produced by various pharmaceutical companies.

Issuing a notice on Thursday, the DDA has given the directives to ban the sale and distribution of drugs that do not go with its quality standards.

DDA had carried out the quality test of the samples during the market monitoring recently.

Ban on the sale and distribution has been issued against Fexist (Fexofenadine Hydrochloride Oral Suspension) of Prime Pharmaceuticals, Parsa and Gastogel Suspension 200 ml of Bhaskar Herbaceuticals.

Similarly, Itraconazole Capsule BP of Amtech Med Pvt. Ltd. Amtech, Lipiage 10 of CTL Pharmaceuticals Bhaktapur, Irgonal-200 of Magnus Pharma Pvt. Ltd and Cinatran-200 of Arya Pharma-lab Bara and I Tack Itraconazole Capsule 100 mg) Biogain Remedies Pvt. Ltd Rupandehi will also be subject to the recently imposed sanctions.
