Chinese, Indian ambassadors met NC President Deuba Thursday



KATHMANDU: Ambassador of China and India held separate meetings with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday.

Chinese Ambassador Hou Yanqi reached Deuba’s residence at Budhanilkantha Thursday and held discussions on the current political scenario, NC sources said.

Likewise, Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan also held discussion with Deuba at his residence at Budhanilkantha on Thursday, a party source said.

The meetings have been considered meaningful at a time when the Supreme Court has reinstated the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

On Thursday, NC Deuba also held a meeting of former and current party office-bearers at his residence on the same day.

Likewise, NCP Chairmen of the Prachanda-Nepal faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Madhav Kumar Nepal had reached Deuba’s residence on Wednesday afternoon and proposed power sharing with NC party.
