ITAHARI: The Itahari Office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested an officer with bribe.
The team mobilized from Itahari Office arrested officer at Drug Administration Department of Biratnagar, Saroj Subedi, along with Rs 200,000- the bribe he took from a pharmacist.
He was held from Ward No 3 of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolis, according to CIAA Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Risal.
Subedi was held with CIAA’s ‘sting operation’. He had taken the bribe by assuring a pharmacy proprietor that a case relating to pharmacy would be sorted out.
Subedi had been working at Biratnagar Office of Drug Administration Department for one and half year.
