JANAKPUR: The government of Province 2 has decided to launch a vaccination campaign against coronavirus pandemic from eight districts simultaneously.

According to the media secretariat of Chief Minister Raut, a meeting of the Provincial Coronavirus crisis Management Committee chaired by Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut decided to launch a vaccination campaign in all eight district headquarters on January 27.

The secretariat informed that, Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut will inaugurate the vaccination campaign at Birgunj based Narayani Hospital, whereas Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Gyanendra Kumar Yadav and Minister for Social Development Nawal Kishore Sah will inaugurate it in Provincial Hospital Janakpurdham and Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital Rajbiraj respectively.

Director of Province Health Directorate Bijay Jha informed that 34,000 vaccines have been received for the vaccination program against COVID-19.

The province is planning to vaccinate front-line workers against coronavirus pandemic the health workers, doctors, security personnel and cleaning staffs in the first phase of the vaccination program.
