Govt at work to create job opportunities in country: Labour Minister Shrestha

KATHMANDU: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha on Saturday said that the government was at work to create job opportunities within country itself.

“The government is at work to pursue prosperous Nepal,” he said at an event organized on the sixth anniversary of Newslines Media Pvt. Ltd.

Saying that foreign employments have played an important role in country’s economy, the Minister said that the government would construct training centres in all seven provinces for youths going for foreign employments. “The government will strictly enforce the implementation of the social security fund,” Minister Shrestha added.

On the occasion, Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC and central member of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Debendra Pradhan stressed the need for the Nepali journalism to disseminate true and credible news being the backbone of democracy.

Managing director of the Newslines Media Rita Dhakal said that the media would always disseminate positive news to help pursue prosperous Nepal.

On the occasion, people from various walks of life including Ram Prasad Neupane, Shivahari Giri, Niraj Sitaula, Pushkal Malla, Anil Pokharel, Shivalochan Parajuli, Maheshjung Kunwar, Bhimsubba Gurung, Tulasa Koirala, Bhakta Bahadur Karki, Nabina Khadka, Bhushan Maharjan and Ramesh Paudel were honoured for their contributions to the society.
