Dr. Shekhar Koirala ranked 20th in NC order of precedence

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala has been placed at the 20th position in the party’s order of precedence.

Dr. Koirala automatically became the central member following his defeat with rival Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was re-elected NC president, in the 14th general convention.

Party President Deuba clarified the order of precedence within the party before the first meeting of the newly elected Central Working Committee (CWC) Saturday.

Dr. Koirala fell at the 20th position behind the current 13 office bearers and six former office-bearers (Arjun Narsingh KC, Shashank Koirala, Ramsharan Mahat, Chitralekha Yadav, Gopalman Shrestha, Sunil Bahadur Thapa).

Dr. Koriala had ranked at 35th position in the NC’s 13th general convention.
