Prachanda unlikely to attend inauguration of UML General Convention in Chitwan

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” is unlikely to attend the inauguration of the convention of the main opposition CPN (UML) in Chitwan on Friday.

Maoist Center leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that Prachanda will not be able to go to Chitwan on Friday as they already have a pre-arranged program.

“As it is a pre-arranged program, we will not be able to go there,” Shrestha said.

According to Prachanda’s secretariat, Prachanda is participating in two programs in Kavre tomorrow.

A few days before the inauguration of the General Convention, UML leader Rajan Bhattarai had visited Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar and invited him.

Chitwan is Prachanda’s home district.

Meanwhile, Prachanda’s daughter Renu Dahal is the mayor of the Bharatpur Metropolis.
