RPP leader Rajendra Lingden announces candidature for party Chairman

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Rajendra Lingden has announced his candidature for the post of party chairperson at the upcoming general convention.

He is contesting the election in alliance with the influential Dhawal Shamsher Rana.

Speaking at a function held at a hotel in Kathmandu today, Linden said that he was fielding his candidature to protect the party according to the sentiments of the party’s leaders, cadres and well-wishers.

“Time has sought change now. In the 31-year history of RPP, it has been a total failure,” he said.

RPP leader Dhawal Shumsher, a leader who is also the mayor of Nepalgunj sub-metropolis, is supporting Lingden.
