Two Indians arrested from Nagdhunga with Rs 9.5 million

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two Indian nationals with Rs 9.5 million rupees ‘unlawful’ money.

According to the police, the arrestees could not disclose the source of money.

They were arrested along with Rs. 9.5 million during a vehicle check-in Chandragiri Municipality-2, Nagdhunga.

The arrested are Sagar Mali, 26, of Sangli district in Mumbai, India, and Krishna Adhade, 19, of the same place, said SP Ramesh Basnet.

They were on their way to Kathmandu from Chitwan in the vehicle registered no. Ga 1 Kha 6645.

According to SP Basnet, Rs 4.5 million was recovered from Mali and Rs 5 million from Adhade.

Police suspect that the arrestees are involved in the Hundi business.

Police are investigating further for details.
