Nepal records 2,482 new COVID-19 cases, 44 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,482 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 9,711 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 1,862 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while of the 5,579 Antigen tests, 620 tested positive.

According to the Ministry, 44 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,781 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, there were 745 new cases in Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours: Kathmandu 515 cases, Lalitpur 88, and Bhaktapur 142 cases.
