KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,237 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,539 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 698 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 468 persons in Kathmandu, 89 in Lalitpur, and 67 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 624 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 18 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2,050 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
