Nepal sees 2,476 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

27 deaths reported across country, Kathmandu sees 427 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,476 new cases of coronavirus while 5,455 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the 2,476 cases confirmed, 1,721 were detected through RT-PCR method and 755 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 27 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 8,945 in the country.

There were 308 new cases in Kathmandu, 76 in Lalitpur and 43 in Bhaktapur, making the total cases in Kathmandu Valley 427.
