MFD predicts heavy rains in Pradesh 1 and Bagmati



KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted heavy rains coupled with thunderstorms in various parts of the country today.

With the monsoon getting active across the country, the weather is generally cloudy in most parts of the country with chances of light to moderate rains in a few places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Pradesh.

The MFD has predicted light to moderate rains in some places of Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh and Lumbini Pradesh and light rains in few places of the rest of the provinces.

Similarly, heavy rains amidst thunderstorms are forecast in one or two places of Pradesh 1 and Bagmati Pradesh, according to a weather bulletin issued by the Division this morning.

Meanwhile, the Division has urged the people to take precautions warning of flood and landslide risks in these provinces.
