PM-CJ meeting at night in Baluwatar does not bode well: JSP leader Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Federal Council Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Dr Baburam Bhattarai has criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for holding a meeting with Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana at Baluwatar in the middle of the night.

Commenting on the meeting, JSP leader Dr Bhattarai said the meeting between Prime Minister Oli and Chief Justice Rana at Baluwatar in the middle of the night does not bode well in the future of the Nepali politics.

With the news being aired about the meeting between Oli and Rana at Baluwatar on the night of Monday, leader Bhattarai in a tweet hit out at Prime Minister for holding a meeting with Chief Justice saying that it is not a good indication for the democratic political system of Nepal.

He further said that Khil Raj Regmi was an exceptional case for the interim constitution which cannot be a precedent in the present context.
