Prohibitory order imposed in Banke



NEPALGUNJ: Amidst the spiking cases of coronavirus in the district, Banke administration has imposed the prohibitory order in the district effective from Monady.

Issuing a notice on Sunday, the District Administration Office, Banke has asked the public to refrain from going out unnecessarily.

Speaking to the reporters about the decision, Chief District Officerd Shiva Ram Gelal said that the administration was compelled to enforce prohibitory order as the lockdown enforced by Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis and Kohalpur Municipality did not bear the expected results.

According to him, all services except those in the health and security sectors and in the supply of daily essentials such as vegetables, cooking gas, milk, and medicines will remain closed from Monday.

However, the air services and already scheduled examinations will run as usual, Gelal added.
