Province 2 CM Raut stresses developing infrastructure for PLGSP

KATHMANDU: Province 2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut has stressed readying necessary physical infrastructure for Provincial and Local Governance Support Program (PLGSP).

CM Raut participated in a preparation meeting of PLGSP on Thursday to chart out Province 2 annual strategy for the upcoming 2021/22 fiscal. At the meeting, he shared that implementation of traditional programs only would not suffice to support provincial and local governance.

Saying that the province government sought people-friendly governance, Raut highlighted the need to manage office and build physical infrastructure for PLGSP. He directed officials concerned to develop a master plan to transform Janakpur’s Mujeliya-based rural development center into a provincial knowledge hub and resource center.

At the meeting chaired by Province 2 Principal Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, Province Chief Attorney Dipendra Jha was of the view that the government’s priorities should be incorporated in PLGSP.

The meeting was also attended by representative of PLGSP’s partner organizations.
