Agreement to collaborate between universities of Nepal and Oman

KATHMANDU: Nepali Ambassador to Oman, Sarmila Parajuli paid a courtesy call on Dr Fahad AlJulanda AL Said, Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) of Oman on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Ambassador Parajuli congratulated Dr Fahad on his appointment to the post and extended best wishes.

During the meeting, possible cooperation between Sultan Qaboos University and the Universities of Nepal was explored.

Dr Fahad thanked Ambassador Dhakal for visiting the University and proposed to begin the cooperation with the exchange of students in the field of agriculture and tourism.

Both sides agreed to continue to hold such meetings regularly looking for new avenues of cooperation and engagements between two countries.

Meeting also agreed to find out areas of cooperation between academia and researchers of both countries to contribute to knowledge enhancement.

Mona Fahad Al-Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation, SQU, Fatma AL-Khuzairi, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Office, SQU, and Somesh Thapa, Second Secretary at the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat were also present during the meeting.
