Three-country football tournament: Nepal taking on Kyrgyzstan today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Kyrgyzstan in a match under the three-country football tournament on Thursday.

Kyrgyzstan had lost to Bangladesh by 1-0 in the match held on Tuesday.  Nepali team’s Chief Coach Balgopal Maharjan has announced a 23-member squad captained by goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong for the tournament.

Goalkeepers:  Kiran Chemjong, Bikesh Kuthu and Deep Karki

Defenders: Ranjit Dhimal, Nishan Limbu, Rohit Chand, Ananda Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Ajit Bhandari, Biraj Maharjan, Chhiring Gurung

Mid-fielders: Tridev Gurung, Sujal Shrestha, Tej Tamang, Erik Bista, Sanjog Rai, Bishal Rai, Sunil Bal and Rabi Shankar Paswan

Strikers:  Anjan Bista, Darshan Gurung, Abhishek Rijal and Bharat Khawas

Nepal will lock horns with Bangladesh on coming Saturday.

Meanwhile, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has made masks and sanitizers mandatory for audiences in view of increasing risk of coronavirus.
