Land Revenue officer held for embezzling Rs 11.7 mln



KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Rithe Pariyar, an account officer at the Land Revenue Office, Bharatpur, Chitwan from Kathmandu on Wednesday for embezzling 11.7 million rupees.

According to the CIB, Rs. 11.7 million was embezzled from the Rastriya Banijya Bank branch office in Bharatpur, Chitwan with the involvement of Pariyar.

He was arrested from his hideout at Tarkeshwor Municipality-6, Kathmandu. CIB spokesperson Ganga Pant said that Pariyar was arrested for misappropriating public funds.
