Dr KC calls off his hunger strike



KATHMANDU: Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC has called off his hunger strike following the reinstatement of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Issuing a press release on Wednesday, Dr KC announced to drop his hunger strike saying that the Supreme Court (SC) dealt a heavy blow to the unconstitutional move taken by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli through the reinstatement of the HoR.

KC in the press release has made it clear that he would continue his hunger strike campaign in the future unless the past agreements reached with the government are implemented in a letter and spirit to as to hold the latter accountable.
