Maoist Center’s Standing Committee meeting underway



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPN-Maoist Center is underway at the party central office, Paris Danda in Kathmandu.

The meeting has already begun in Koteshwor, said Bishnu Sapkota Jugal, press coordinator of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.

According to him, the meeting is discussing the report submitted by the task force of the ruling coalition for running the government, selection of its ministers, agenda of the upcoming Central Committee meeting, among other issues.

The ruling coalition task force had handed over the minimum common program and working procedure report to the top leadership including Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba this morning.

The report sets out the priorities of the coalition government.
