NEPSE increases by 1.89 points today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 1.89 points on Wednesday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2735.00 points.

A total of 7.44 million shares of 227 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 4.21 billion.
Shares of 102 companies increased today while shares of 76 companies decreased.

The share value of 9 companies remained stable. The price of Malungkhola Hydropower increased the most by 9.4 percent. Karnali Development Bank and Panchakanya Mai Hydro increased by 6 percent.

Banking subgroups declined by 7 points, life insurance by 61 points and business by 38 points.

Similarly, Development Bank increased by 42 points, Finance by 35 points, Hotel and Tourism by 2 points, Hydropower by 23 points, Manufacturing by 26 points, Non-Life Insurance by 36 points, Others by 5 points, and Microfinance s by 3 points. Nepal Telecom was in the forefront in terms of turnover.
