Dangi’s panel wins in Surkhet Constituency No. 1; Khadka secures 736 votes



SURKHET: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC) Purna Bahadur Khadka, who is contesting from Surkhet Constituency No. 1, has secured 736 votes.

Khadka had given his candidature saying that the office bearers in the NC Central Committee would automatically be the delegates to the General Convention.

Likewise, Jhag Bahadur Dangi of the party’s establishment camp won the election with 719 votes.

His opponent Bal Bahadur Wali got 103 votes.

Out of 917 regional representatives, 874 votes were cast in Tuesday’s election.
