Nepal Tourism Board and Travel Agents Association of India ink deal for tourism promotion

KATHMANDU: Nepal and India have signed an agreement to promote tourism in both the countries.

An agreement has been signed between the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) for concerted efforts to promote tourism in the two countries.

NTB Chief Executive Office Dr. Dhananjay Regmi and Jyoti Mayal, President of TAAI signed the agreement at program held in New Delhi on Friday, the NTB said in a statement Sunday.

According to the agreement, the NTB and TAAI will cooperate in various tourism promotion platforms such as events, road shows, webinars and would send invitations to each other in national and regional events and travel marts taking place in both the countries.

As India is Nepal’s major tourism resource market, the agreement will help in the promotion of tourism in Nepal, said NTB CEO Dr. Regmi. He expressed the belief that exchanging good practices of tourism promotion in each other’s country would also help in the promotion of tourism in both the countries.
