UML Chair Oli appeals leaders, except Madhav Nepal, to rejoin party



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Oli has urged other leaders, except leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, to return to the party.

Oli, who reached his home district of Jhapa on Sunday, said the party would not allow leader Nepal to join the UML again. “All leaders can return to the party except Madhav Nepal. I urge our old friends to return by cutting through the illusion. However, CPN-UML will not take criminal elements like Madhav Nepal again,” Oli said.

Oli also remarked that he was surprised to see people following Madhav Nepal. “I am surprised to see that people were following Madhav Nepal. I wonder what did they see?”

Seconding businessman Durga Prasai’s statement, Oli said that even following Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ would not work.
