UML municipality-level convention to begin tomorrow



KATHMANDU: The municipality-level convention of the CPN-UML is scheduled to begin on October 25.

The ward-level convention of the party was held across the country on Saturday under the 10th national general convention.

Party Chairman KP Oli inaugurated the ward convention virtually on Saturday.

The party’s tenth general convention will be held in Chitwan, Bagmati province from November 26 to 28.

According to UML sources, electronic voting machines will be used for election purposes at the UML General Convention.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the UML Standing Committee has appointed Surendra Pandey as the co-coordinator of the 21-member conventional main management committee and Bishnu Rimal as the secretary and some other members of the committee.
