Three NC presidency aspirants hold talks on Friday



KATHMANDU: Three Nepali Congress leaders aspiring to contest for party presidency Bimalendra Nidhi, Shashank Koirala and Prakash Man Singh have met at Koirala’s residence in Maharajgunj on Friday evening.

During the meeting, they discussed about putting forward a consensus candidate in the upcoming general convention of the party. They also agreed to hold talks with other party presidency asipirants to pick a common candidate among all of them.

Similarly, they also reached agreeement to play a role from their respective places to hold the General Convention on the scheduled date to allay the fears raised about the convention.

Likewise, they decided to urge NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to give full shape to the cabinet at the earliest.

The national convention is slated for November 25-29 later this year.
