KATHMANDU: Nepal has requested the Pakistani government to allow Nepali nationals, coming from Afghanistan, to pass through the country in their journey back home to Nepal.
Writing a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Nepal urged Pakistan to let Nepali nationals in Kabul, who worked for Afghan Wireless Communication Company, to return to Nepal via Pakistan at the earliest available connecting flights to Nepal.
The Embassy of Nepal in Pakistan enclosed the details of eight Nepalis with a request to facilitate them to journey through Pakistan.
According to the Nepali Mission in Islamabad’s list, Ram Chandra Thebe, Shyam Bahadur Tamang, Ranjit Kumar Panday, Dawa Kumar Tamang, Nima Sherpa, Suman Kumar Karki, Mohan Prasad Limbu and Chuna Mohan Lamsal, who worked for the Afghan Wireless company, along with their Philippine co-workers are in Kabul seeking permission to fly to Pakistan.
Although Nepal wrote to Pakistan on August 20 based on the verbale of August 16, Pakistan government has yet to respond.
