Over 29 mln recover from COVID-19 in India



NEW DELHI: Southern neighbor India has witnessed a sharp decline in the number of COVID-19 infection cases, of late.

India recorded 54,319 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 30,082,169.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 633,546 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 29,056,609 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 392,000-mark.

With 978 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 392,014, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,906,629 and infected 180,341,007 globally until the filing of this news.
