Lekhak, Rawal set to argue on behalf of petitioner in writ against HoR dissolution



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ramesh Lekhak and CPN- UML leader Dr. Bhim Rawal are also scheduled to present arguments on behalf of the petitioners in the writ petition filed against the dissolution of the Parliament at the Supreme Court.

According to sources, on behalf of the writ petitioners, along with other advocates, lawmakers Lekhak and Rawal will also debate in the court.

The opposition alliance filed a writ at the Supreme Court Monday afternoon with in-person attendance of 146 lawmakers.

Leader Lekhak said besides Rawal and him, senior advocates Badri Bahadur Karki, Raman Shrestha, Shambhu Thapa, Harihar Dahal and Tikaram Bhattarai will debate at the court.

The hearing on the writ is likely to take place Tuesday.
