Hetauda Hospital begins oxygen production



BAGMATI: Hetauda Hospital has started oxygen production from Sunday.

The oxygen plant set up by the hospital has the capacity to produce 15 filled oxygen cylinders on a daily basis against its demand for over 100 filled cylinders, said the hospital.

Meanwhile, the construction of an oxygen plant with a production capacity of 150 filled oxygen cylinders daily is underway. The project has been started by the Hetauda Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

To meet the demands for life-saving oxygen, the Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City has been supplying oxygen to Makawanpur district from Itahari and Nuwakot, said the sub metropolis chief Hari Bahadur Mahat.

At present, a total of 54 COVID-19 infected persons are undergoing treatment at the hospital run by the Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences, said the hospital.
