PM Oli lays foundation stone for Birendra Hospital building

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the Birendra Hospital building at Chhauni in Kathmandu amid a function.

To be constructed jointly by the government and the Nepali Army Welfare Fund, the 750-bed hospital is expected to be a model hospital in the country once it comes into operation.

Prior to this, PM Oli inspected the master plan of the project and unveiling of a stone inscription.

On the occasion, he pointed out the glorious contributions of the Nepali Army for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In another context, he said the government was committed to fulfilling the country’s goals of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’.
